We’ve been obsessively watching our phones for this highly anticipated call.

So, he told us all about the past week, trip logistics, and new friends. To summarize the most important basics; he’s having a great time, has a fun and strong group that are making really good time on their rides, and is upbeat. He said Georgia had a few days of some really big hills (3500 ft climb yesterday) but was manageable. They are experiencing lots of beautiful farmland and he really loves cycling as the sun comes up- they wake around 4:30am to avoid the heat.

Today's day off is filled w/ doing laundry, playing games and eating lots. And probably early to bed- they have a 93 miler tomorrow. He said they’ll get to check out emails later this evening. He feels strong and confident and rated the riding so far as 3/10 for maximum exertion. Woo-hoo!

We are missing him but so excited to hear him feeling happy and strong. Go Nico!
