Our man is living it up in Socorro, NM today. Or at least "resting it up"!

We were so excited to chat with him this afternoon. It was a spotty connection, so not the easiest conversation (a lot of, can you hear me now?), but the gist is - he's great, feeling good, enjoying the journey and their close-knit group. They've been waking at 3:30am and get on the road by 4:30. Most days, they make it to their destination by about 2:30pm. He said NM is beautiful terrain. Hills aren't bothering him too much. He did say wind is the thing that makes the biggest difference in the difficulty of their rides. So, hoping for some strong tail wind in the upcoming week.

We cannot believe he is 17 today. Happy birthday, bud. Slow down with the growing up, please.

Flashback photo for kicks (was his 3rd birthday - he got a bike!)
